A well
designed security monitoring system will their hardware, software and
human support systems properly integrated and interfaced. A sophisticated
hardware system will not perform up to expectation without human support
in monitoring and processing the data transmitted and in some cases gathering

monitor the movement of the personnel deployed to either patrol or be
at specific locations to gather data as well as to provide a report of
their monitoring activities to the supervisors for control purposes. |

TouchChecker
computerized guard tour system The TouchChecker is a computerized handheld data reader which will read data from preconfigured data checkpoint “Dallas” buttons that has been mounted at specific locations throughout the premise which needs to be monitored. The data is gathered from these buttons are date and time stamped and stored in the data reader. On completion of the patrol the handheld data reader is inserted in the base which doubles up as both a data reader and charger. The data will be downloaded from the base via the serial port to the computer where the installed Guard Tour software will generate a guard patrol log for the security supervisor for control purposes. |

Features
of the TouchChecker guard tour system • The system can be installed with ease. There are no specialized tools and skills needed. It can be installed by the user’s in-house technical staff to minimize security compromise by third-party installers. • The system is easy to implement. There are no special instructions needed for the users of the handheld data reader and the data can be easily encoded on the data buttons and transferred to the computer through the ‘guard tour’ software. The format of the guard tour log is controlled by the software and there is no necessity for further programming. • The system is durable and reliable. The handheld reader is weatherproof and hardy in design. • The system is flexible and expandable. The data buttons can be reconfigured and mounted at different locations as and when it is needed. The system can support up to 5000 data points and the coverage by this system should be adequate for most of the users. • Minimum maintenance cost and reliable after-sales service. The system has a one year guarantee against manufacturer’s defects. Within the guarantee period, the components which are defective will be given a one to one exchange unless it is damaged by the user’s negligence. |
